The introduction of hydroxypropyl breaks the β- The intramolecular ring hydrogen bond of Cyclodextrin keeps the cavity of Cyclodextrin while overcoming β- The disadvantage of poor water solubility of cyclodextrins. CAS No:128446-35-5 (2-Hydroxypropyl)-Beta-Cyclodextrin is one of the Cyclodextrin derivatives that have been studied deeply and applied widely. In the industrial field, coatings, sterols, pigments, and pump active agents have been widely used.

(2-Hydroxypropyl)-Beta-Cyclodextrin only for reagent and laboratory purposes, not for human use；
(2-Hydroxypropyl) β Cyclodextrin is widely used in textile, air purification, environmental protection, pesticide, essence and spice, toothpaste and toothbrush, and other chemical fields.
Phytosterol is a natural active substance, which can reduce the content of total cholesterol in serum and the level of low-density lipoprotein cholesterol. Using (2-hydroxypropyl)-β-cyclodextrin inclusion phytosterols, the nonpolar cavity for sterol nonpolar carbon chain section provides a good space, then the inherent hydroxyl groups of the sterol part exposed side, and inherent in cyclodextrin hydroxyl increased overall hydrophilic properties, thus improving the sterol solubility in water.
